Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University is a multi-cultural campus with students from approximately 98 different countries. Students combine study from different fields to gain a broad understanding of the diverse 政治 systems, 经济体, societies and cultures of the Asia Pacific while gathering advanced skills in language, 信息技术, 和研究. APU的学术日历

APU的学期由两个季度组成. Some classes run for the duration of the semesters while other classes are usually taught in one of the two quarters. 1 semester is 14 weeks (plus 2 weeks of exams) and students must register for a minimum of 14 credits per semester.  

APU秋季学期

  • 了解时间轴. Students must attend SEU the first and fourth years of the program and attend APU the second and third years of the program. There is no option to graduate in less than four years or to NOT return to St. 爱德华的最后一年(2个学期). 所有的圣. 爱德华的 students must complete 30 of their final 50 credits in residence at St. 爱德华的.

Profit-driven development has brought with it a raft of environmental and other issues, 可持续发展是一个紧迫的问题. This cluster tackle this question of sustainable development in relation to efforts to balance environmental conservation and economic development. Students also examine sustainable development policies in light of the systems and laws in each country and region.

As cultural exchange and promotion of regional industries through tourism are vital to the development of the Asia Pacific region, this cluster explores multiple facets of tourism through the lenses of culture, 社会, 和社区. Students focus on the theory and practice of hospitality as it relates to the tourism, 健康, 福利行业.

This cluster allows students to delve into the intricacies of conflict resolution 和和平 as well as to cultivate the ability to deal with increasingly complex global issues to become a future expert. 研究涉及国际法的三个学科, 政治 science and economics and help students gain the necessary critical thinking skills and a policy-oriented approach to succeed in the fields of international relations, 争议解决, 和和平.

There is no language requirement to be admitted to the dual degree program; however, students are strongly encouraged to enroll in 日本ese in fall and spring of their first year at St. 爱德华的. While at APU, students must enroll in 日本ese language courses for a minimum of 16 credits. Students will take a 日本ese language placement test upon arrival at APU to determine which level of language courses they will enroll in. Students with sufficient language abilities may require fewer 日本ese language credits.
